What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

God

There is one eternally existing God in three distinct persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is the creator of all things visible and invisible. He is transcendent in holiness, and the essence of all goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, mercy, grace and love. He is unchangeable - the same yesterday, today, and forever and the only one worthy of all worship and praise.

Revelation

God has revealed himself to His universe by His creative power and unfathomable wisdom. He has revealed Himself particularly to His human creation through his son, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God. God has also revealed Himself through the holy scriptures, which He personally inspired and gave to holy writers that we might have a written knowledge of Him, of ourselves, and of His redemptive plan. We believe the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is true and trustworthy.

Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image and for His glory. Adam and Eve were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of of God's creation. God instituted marriage through Adam and Eve (one man and one woman) and gave them the ability to procreate creating the human family (father, mother and children).  Life, gender, marriage, and family all created and blessed by God for His glory and for the propagation and enjoyment of the human family.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became corrupted images of God. This separated  them from God, and brought the curse of sin and death on all living creatures.

Salvation

Jesus Christ, the Son of God came into the world to save sinners. As our substitute, He lived a sinless life, meeting God's holy demand, and willingly died on the cross to pay the full penalty for our sins. God was satisfied with His Son's redeeming work and raised him from the dead. To all who believe and receive Jesus as Substitute and Savior, God gives the free gift of salvation and eternal life. Salvation is found in Christ alone.

The Church

The Church universal, affectionately called the Bride of Christ in the Bible, is the earthly model of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. All born again followers of Jesus are members of His church and His Kingdom dwells within them spiritually.

The local church is a gathering of Christ's people who come together frequently to worship Him, to hear the preaching of the gospel, to nurture each other in the faith, to serve each other and the  community, and to evangelize the world at home and abroad. Soon, Jesus Christ will return to earth, gathering all His church from all of time and
He will establish His Kingdom on earth.

The Resurrection

Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and raised to life in an incorruptible body on the 3rd day. His resurrection was witnessed by over 500 people.
He is now at the right hand of His Father in heaven making intercession for His people. When He
comes again He will raise the "dead in Christ" and change those who are alive and give them all a resurrected-incorruptible body like His own. There will be no more sin, sickness or death. He will establish His physical Kingdom on earth and His people will rule and reign with Him forever.

The Judgment

Every sin will be judged.  For those who are born again, regenerate
followers of Jesus Christ, their sin was judged in Jesus at the cross
and are therefore cleared of all judgment. These people will enter
heaven and eternal life. For those who die in an ungenerate state
their sin is on them and they will stand before Christ and be judged
by Him in the end. These people will be sentenced to hell for eternity.
